About the image:

A young Mennonite girl looks out the window of the Heritage Number 9 Waterloo Central Railway Steam Train as it heedfully reaches it's destination at Waterloo station, in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. This candid photo was taken in October of 2012, but it feels timeless to me.

This image has been recognized by National Geographic editors and photographers.  It has been on display at the National Geographic office in Washington, D.C., in addition to being National Geographic's Photo of the Day on February 1st, 2013.  It was also selected as a finalist for the Miami Street Photography festival in 2015.
